Mirjam de Koning-Peper of the Netherlands set a new Paralympic record and won the gold medal in the Women's 100m Backstroke S6 of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games with 1:28.34 minutes at the National Aquatics Center on Tuesday, September 9.
