ALLOCATION OF  The qualification is allocated to the individual athlete not the NPC
QUALIFICATION   By 31 January 2008, all NPCs with athletes ranked in more than one event must declare in writing to IPC Powerlifting the event the athlete wishes to be considered for a qualification slot. In the case, that an NPC does not make this declaration, IPC Powerlifting will only consider the event the athlete is ranked highest.

MAXIMUM QUOTA      An NPC can be allocated a maximum of one (1) ALLOCATION PER NPC    qualification slot per event.
An NPC can be allocated a maximum of eight (8) eligible male qualified athletes and eight (8) eligible female qualified athletes.
Exceptions may be granted through the Bipartite Invitation Commission allocation method.
ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY     To be eligible for selection by an NPC athletes must  have achieved the following Minimum Qualifying Standard (MQS) for their respective event between 1 January 2006 and 31 January 2008.

If an athlete achieved a ranking performance on the IPC Powerlifting Ranking List during 2005, he or she must still acheive an approved MQS performance in the time period specified above to be be eligible for qualification and entry.

The top ten (10) ranked male athletes in each weight category listed on the IPC Powerlifting Male World Ranking List closing 31 January 2008 qualify.

The top six (6) ranked female athletes in each weight category listed on the IPC Powerlifting Female World Ranking List closing 31 January 2008 qualify.

BIPARTITE COMMISSION INVITATION ALLOCATION

Two (2) eligible male athletes per event will be considered by the IPC and IPC Powerlifting for a Bipartite Commission Invitation qualification slot. To be considered for a Bipartite Commission Invitation, the IPC must receive an official application in writing from the relevant NPC.

Two (2) eligible female athletes per event will be considered by the IPC and IPC Powerlifting for a Bipartite Commission Invitation qualification slot. To be considered for a Bipartite Commission Invitation, the IPC must receive an official application in writing from the relevant NPC.

DATES / PROCESS OF CONFIRMATION OF QUALIFICATION SLOTS
By 4 April 2008, each NPC must confirm to the IPC Powerlifting in writing (fax and e-mail are accepted) the number of qualification slots they will use. NPCs that have not replied by this date will have lost their qualification slots, and the IPC Powerlifting may reallocate these slots.
By 4 April 2008, relevant NPCs must confirm in writing (fax and e-mails are accepted) to IPC Powerlifting use of the qualification slots allocated through the Bipartite Commission Invitation method they will use. NPCs that have not replied by this date will have lost their qualification slots, and IPC Powerlifting may reallocate these slots.
By 25 April 2008, IPC Powerlifting will confirm in writing the reallocation of all unused qualification slots.
By 26 April 2008, it is officially declared that the respective NPC's will use the allocated quota granted for the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. Any NPC that does not use some or all of the qualification slots allocated may be subject to sanctions by the IPC.
REALLOCATION OF UNUSED QUALIFICATION SLOTS
Any qualification slots that are not used by an NPC will be reallocated through the Bipartite Commission Invitation allocation method.
