Wheelchair Basketball

Every team is comprised of five players and seven substitutes. The match consists of four periods of ten minutes. After the first and the third period there is an interval of one minute. There is a 15-minute interval between the second and third period. [Full story]

Qualification System

  • Any qualification slots that are not used by an NPC will be reallocated at the discretion of the IWBF with approval by the IPC (ie, endeavouring to maintain, as far as possible, a certain balance between Zonal representation). [Full story]

Classification

  • Classification is based upon sport-specific tests of shooting, passing, rebounding, pushing and dribbling, rather than a medical diagnosis or muscle function examination. [Full story]
