QUALIFICATION
The qualification is allocated to the NPC not the individual athlete or team.
MAXIMUM QUOTA
ALLOCATION PER NPC
An NPC can be allocated no more than one (1) team qualification slot.
ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY To be eligible for selection by an NPC, athletes must have competed in at least one IWAS Wheelchair Rugby competition between 1 January 2006 and 30 January 2008.
MAXIMUM ENTRY PER
NPC
An NPC can enter a maximum of
one (1) men's team comprised of eleven (11) eligible male athletes or
one (1) mixed team comprised of twelve (12) eligible athletes of which a minimum of one (1) of the athletes is female.

2006 IWAS WHEELCHAIR RUGBY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS ALLOCATION The top ranked NPC qualifies. 1 team
2007 IWAS WHEELCHAIR RUGBY ZONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ALLOCATION The top ranked NPC from the 2007 IWAS Wheelchair Rugby Americas Zonal Championships qualifies. 1 team
The top two (2) ranked NPCs from the 2007 IWAS Wheelchair Rugby European Zonal Championships qualify. 2 teams
  The top ranked NPC from the 2007 IWAS Wheelchair Rugby Oceania Zonal Championships qualifies.
In the case, that all NPCs from a Zone have qualified, the next highest ranked NPC, not otherwise qualified, on the IWAS Wheelchair Rugby World Ranking List closing 30 January 2008, qualifies.
If a Zone does not host a Championships, the next highest ranked NPC from the respective Zone, not otherwise qualified, on the IWAS Wheelchair Rugby World Ranking List closing 30 January 2008, qualifies.

HOST COUNTRY ALLOCATION The host country directly qualifies, subject to having a rank on the IWAS Wheelchair Rugby World Ranking List closing 30 January 2008 (IWAS retains the right to waive this requirement upon approval of the IPC). 1 team

DATES / PROCESS OF CONFIRMATION OF QUALIFICATION SLOTS
By 4 April 2008, each NPC must confirm to IWAS in writing (fax and e-mail are accepted) the number of qualification slots they will use. NPCs that have not replied by this date will have lost their qualification slots, and IWAS may reallocate these slots.
By 25 April 2008, IWAS will confirm in writing the reallocation of all unused team qualification slots.
By 26 April 2008, it is officially declared that the respective NPCs will use the allocated quota granted for the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games. Any NPC that does not use its team qualification slot allocated may be subject to sanctions by the IPC and IWAS.
REALLOCATION OF UNUSED QUALIFICATION SLOTS
Any qualification slots allocated to an NPC that are not used will be reallocated to the highest ranked and not otherwise qualified NPC on the IWAS Wheelchair Rugby World Ranking List closing 30 January 2008.
